Classic games

Classic games

Classic games gave birth to the whole history of games. Most of these games have earned the rights to sports games. They are the subject of competitions, tournaments and championships. Extra-curricular activities are organised for schoolchildren to teach the subtleties of classical games. The best classical games do not get old over the years. Parents explain the rules to their children and then pass on the knowledge to their grandchildren.

Classic games - what do they include?

We all know games like checkers, chess and dominoes. These games, which have been around for ages, require strong strategic skills. A well-thought-out sequence of future moves increases the chances of defeating an opponent. Classical or traditional games also include games in which the dice are rolled and the number of spaces on the board is equal to the number of points that are rolled. One of the best known games of this type is 'Snakes and Ladders'.

Classic games

Differences between classic games:

  • Checkers. The pieces on the game board are identical. Two people play. One walks with white checkers and the other with black checkers. The piece's options change only when the checker becomes a queen. Then it is turned over and thus separated from the others.
  • Chess. The pieces are walked on the same board, but the pieces are different. Players walk with pieces of two colours (white and black): pawns, knights, knights, rooks, queens and kings. Each of them has a different value and different walking trajectories.
  • Domino. The board is not used for this game. It can be played by two or more players. The idea of dominoes is to arrange a chain of dice in such a way that they touch each other on the same border. A player wins when he is the first to get rid of all his dominoes.
  • Snakes and ladders - and similar games. Requires a game board with numbered boxes, game pieces and dice. This type of game, unlike other classic games, relies solely on chance. There is no strategy involved.
