Team games

Team games - when it's not just about beating each other.

It's strange to see games where several players are not competing against each other. Team games (also known as co-operative or collaborative games) are unique in that they involve joining forces to beat the game itself. It's great not to have to get angry with your friends over one move or another that hurts another. This time, everyone has one goal.

Team in the game - what is it?

The term "team" is defined as a group of people (two or more) working towards the same goal, influencing each other well. In board games, there are two ways to act (depending on the specific rules): either by talking together, or by each thinking for himself but without harming the others. Consulting with each other can help to think through many future moves. As the game likes to play a game of cards, sometimes when a certain card is drawn, all the plans that have been made so far fall apart and the whole strategy has to be rebuilt.

You can also use the rules of other categories of games to create teams where they shouldn't normally be. For example, in Monopoly, you can form cooperative teams and go through the game board by talking together. Team up and it will be much easier to win.

Team games - what are they all about?

One of the best known team board games is Pandemic. Its rules are described below. During the game, all players fight against a game board where various diseases are spread. Good strategy, deliberate action and cooperation between the players lead to victory. And the game board doesn't want to give up either.

Another game where players help each other is "30 to Mars". In "30 to Mars", players have to stay alive for 30 days. They work together to solve problems on the way to Mars, collect resources and complete other tasks. Again, everyone loses or no one loses.
